How to make a pump clip

Thinking has anyone ever made their own?

What plastic would you use? Can you buy blanks anywhere?

Well, there's these, but you'd probably be cheaper buying a branded pump clip off eBay and then putting a new front on it.

That's an idea I had too. But not always easy to tell which are embossed and which are flat.

I was wondering if there are any plastic rounds, squares or ovals made for other purposes that could be used for this.

You could just get yourself some plasticard of whatever weight you fancy and cut your own...

What about using those plastic pipe clips, find the right diameter for the handle.

You can use on old CD.

Spray it with black or white paint, allow to dry, stick your label on, and attach clip.

Yes that's the kind of stuff. How do you cut it - craft knife?

Usually, yeah. If you were to use the really heavy stuff (it's available up to 6mm) then you'd need to saw it.

My daughter made me this as a fathers day card years ago, held on with tape.

No is not a go likeness, she was only about 14 at the time. Over did the eyebrows.

Print your label onto reasonable photo paper, stick onto some card, any old card will do and blag a clip from your local
and velcro it on.

I've done my first pump clip today. Looks very good.

1 print design on quality thick paper. and cut loosely round to get rid of excess paper

2 use photo mount glue to stick it to 1mm plasticard

3 Trim to size with guillotine

4 Cover in adhesive sticky plastic film - the stuff school kids put on their books

5. Stick the clip on!

Easy, shiny and professional looking.
