The Mrs got me a chocolate making kit for Christmas which includes one of these http://www.lakeland.co.uk/16004/Thermospatula Perfect for all sorts of cooking but even better as a mash paddle, the probe comes out too I wonder if anyone makes a lager version? or if any of you diyers could make one?

That looks rather handy. I've often wondered what I'll do the day I break off a glass thermometer in the mash.... ditch the brew or just stir it in and hope for the best

Picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago, a longer one would certainly be nice but I actually found it big enough for my tun (standard Brupaks cooler one).
