Hopefully this will work.

I built a 40 lt Mash tun using an Igloo cooler. I found it had a tendency to drop a couple of degrees during the mash period and that the dead space was around 1.15 lt.

So I decided to build a new one using a rather expensive 32 lt Campingas Isotherm cooler. The first pic show the tap installed via the original drain plug.

D'oh! perhaps someone can advise where I am going wrong? I uploaded on Tinypic, clicked on the... forum option and pasted it between the [img][img] that appears on the JBK's post page?

Notice the stainless steel grub screws, making it easy to take apart and clean. 22mm down to 15mm copper with no solder and it flows a treat and when fixed in place it is as solid as a rock!

The dead space in this mash tun is 400ml and there will be less dead space above the mash so more likely to hold temperature. I will continue to lay a sheet of silver foil across the top of the mash to help with temperature and rap it in a blanket.... Can't wait to try it this weekend.

I managed to downsize some of the pictures since they were far too big!
