Spunding valve??

Post by Supercooper » Fri Mar 07, 2014 7:08 pm

I'm wondering if this would work if I used it as a spunding valve.
If I block off the other outlet and connect the remaining outlet ( the one with the isolator) to the keg.
I plan to use it to condition a lager once it gets to within 2 degrees Plato of the FG.

why not attach it to your gas line going into your corny, its a secondary regulator therefore would do a perfect job of set and forget on your gas.

Thanks mojonojo. I've got lots of secondary valves set up to gas my cornies, I'm looking at using the final gases of fermentation to condition the lager. Kind of along the lines of Reinheitsgebot, and a little closer to CAMRA rules avoiding the use of CO2.
Looking at the US forums, they have been doing this sort of thing for a while.
I am asking for advice about the suitability of the valve to achieve what I'm trying to do.

To clarify my query, will this valve regulate the pressure on its isolator valve as an input, which will be where the keg gases will be attached. Or does it only regulate gas in the other direction into the keg?
