Direct Drive pump - RG25 - flow control???

Hi Yall

I bought a Stuart turner RG25 a while ago but it's a direct-drive unit (not magnetically coupled.)
I hear that it is possible to fit a valve with a recirc back to the inlet in order to throttle back the outflow.
Has anybody got any experience of this or photos of how this can be plumbed?



On all accounts it's quite gutsy in the flow department

fit a T piece before the valve you have to restrict the flow, pipe the out of that T back to the input pipework to the pump. so when u close the flow restriction valve the pump output is diverted back to its inflow. for maximum output you can also fit a valve in the return line to close it stopping any back flow when the restricting valve is fully open...

Great thanks, I vaguely remember seeing somebody's setup with a pump and some fancy copper work coming out the top - but can't find it for the life of me

found the pic I was looking for - by mistake. Like the idea of using the tap on the flow back valve for more control.
