Disconnecting the freezer bit in a fridge

Post by bluezephyr » Thu Mar 13, 2014 8:53 pm

I've just been given a small fridge with a freezer compartment in the top.

Looks like the freezer part is connected with a large and much smaller tube, if I remove it us the fridge FUBAR?

Depends on the fridge but I was able to remove the plastic surrounding the ice compartment and g-e-n-t-l-y bend open the metal U-shaped freezer bit to a right-angle and fix it to the side of the fridge. If you split any pipes, you are stuffed. If you kink any pipes you are stuffed.

But, hey. the fridge was free....
