Cornelius Keg force Carb

Post by Winker » Wed Apr 02, 2014 2:35 pm

Quick question for those who use the Cornelius Kegs.

I am about to change over from bottles to Cornelius Kegs and was wondering if you use pure Co2 to force carbonate you're Cornelius Kegs or a pub dispensing mix 70/30, 60/40 or 50/50

Many thanks

Simple answer - yes, you can force carb from any mix. :)

Although I've never used mixed gas, I understand it's harder than pure CO2 to get into solution.

most peeps stick with co2, it works well once u get your system sorted, if you want to pour a lot of stouts or creamflow beers then perhaps its worth looking at the mixed gasses. when force conditioning with mixed gass u will need more pressure/gas as there is less co2in the mix to dissolve
ist update for months n months..
Fermnting: not a lot..
Conditioning: nowt
Maturing: Challenger smash, and a kit lager
Drinking: dry one minikeg left in the store
Coming Soon Lots planned for the near future nowt for the immediate :(

Mixed gas (eg 70/30 nitro co2) is for cream flow or very long runs where you need high pressure.

I have both because I serve stout on tap.
