Random question?
Just got a braided hose for a hop filter. Seen a video online where a bloke shows you how to perforate the rubber hose and break it off so you can use the fitting to screw direct on to a copper fitting. Anyway, my question is, will the little bit of rubber that's left on be a problem? I'm thinking not as they are designed for hot water anyway. Just don't want it to mess up my mash. Cheers
Re: Random question?

Re: Random question?
I've moved this to brewing equipment, hopefully you may get a response now. Sorry that I can't help on this one, I use a copper strainer myself.
Re: Random question?
I doubt it'd be good in an acidic environment. No idea what it's made of though

Re: Random question?
as you can buy the braid naked on ebay ( sold as automotive sleeving) by the meter its generally easier and cheaper to use that..
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stainless-Ste ... 43a0f323cd
well it was cheaper??? WTF it was £5-£7 per meter iirc
