Backer 2750kw element

Hi all . just purchased a backer 2750kw kettle element with old style 3 pin to install into a stainless steel vessel. ..just got a problem any ideas where can get a old style power lead...and noticed it has a red disk saying temperature limiter..does any 1 know if it will do a rolling boil...cheers

tip use a black plug too to keep the plug as cool as possible

yes rolling boil no problem the limiter thingy is to prevent a boil dry
it will cut out if no liquid is sensed so never happens

Nobbyipa...thanks for that info..so glad it's just a boil dry feature on the element. .happy days

I'd buy a couple of the plugs so you have some spares, this is the only seller I could find and if they stop selling them... Also the first one I bought from them fell to pieces first time I plugged it in, the second is going strong though. But I had a long wait until I could brew again.

New plugs all ordered and on there way...saved buying a new buffalo boiler..just got to get my mate at up Holland blacksmiths to cut me a new hole for the elements. .soon time to brew
