Most kettles these days have the elements hidden away under a metal plate.
Does anyone know if there are any stainless steel boilers/hot liquor tanks which are designed the same way, please?

Quite a few on the market. Lots of people use (and I've just bought) a Buffalo 40 ltr water boiler like this:

There are other brands out there as well, in fact Apollo ones look very similar and are cheaper

i have a 2nd hand 40l Parry boiler that uses one, mind you the Parry uses an aluminium/alloy surfaced element, seems prone to corrosion, so I'd think twice on these.

Years ago I had a Buffalo boiler, but it didn't have a concealed element. Things have clearly improved since I were a lad!
