Maths help for brewing kettle usage

If I pay 14p per unit of electricity and 2.4kw element how much am I gonna use for a 90 minute boil and say 45 minutes to bring it to mash temp then upto boiling ?

Anyone any clues

Comes out at 1.34 if it's running flat out for 4 hours

Well it doesn't sound much I agree, but bearing in mind the massive and much criticised profits they are making, maybe it should be a deal cheaper.

Dave is that roughly what you pay for electric ?

And gas is slightly cheaper think I used about 80 p for a 15 litre brew but only over half the time.

Dunno, I never check. I just wait for someone to come along and say, 'we can save you £200 a year' and I go with them :) .

I'm not trusted with bills so I have to go and pay before I can warm my house great when your on a 12 hour shift come in to find no gas or electric at 11pm at night
