are co2 regulators standard in europe?

Post by Subsonic » Mon Sep 15, 2014 2:28 pm

Reason is, I live in france but my regulator setup was bought in the UK when I lived there. I will have to buy gas here now. I think the bottles are the same (I have to buy online so don't know). Does anyone know if the fittings are the same? Cheers sub.

I know argon is different in mainland Europe. So there is no strict gas standard.

Luckily a friend here knows a bar owner and he has invited me to meet him tomorrow. I'm gonna take my regulator along lol! Will post results, hopefully if it fits I will see if I can do a gas cylinder deal with him too as buying a 2kg cylinder here is about 60 quid!!!! Sub. Edit, Fil thanks for that link it seems to say CO2 treads are standard in Europe so I'm hoping for a fit.

Yes they are! Had a couple of beers with the barman and he fitted my regulator on a bottle fine. He's also ordered me a 6kg bottle which I will pay for and then I just drop in to him when I need a refil. Works out a LOT cheaper than buying online. Right, best get the cornies dusted off and ready for pimping up, err I mean pumping up..... Sub
