DIY Hopback

Post by DethApostle » Wed Oct 01, 2014 8:19 am

Morning all,

I have finally got around to writing up the build for my Hopback on my website. If you are interested check it out here!

I'll probably write it up here too but have to get myself into work now!
Cheers!

Link saved! Looks great, thanks.

Do you think a bit of silicon tubing be an easier modification thank steel to force the beer to the bottom?

You're probably right, or maybe even 3/8 beer line (if it fits through the thread on the bazooka screen...

You took the idea right out of my brain! (Supposed to be a play on the song "you took the words right out my mouth). I have the same filter casing to be modified when I have time. The only difference is I have unwound the string on the water filter that fits into the housing until you reach the plastic mesh center. I was going to try that on its own first but if the holes in the plastic prove to be to big I would wrap some smaller mesh around it. But my thoughts are that the hops would build up on the mesh like they do on the false bottom mesh of the mash tun and form it's own filter?
