Pump ran dry

I was pumping boiling water round my system after cleaning to sterilise before storage, and I forgot about it. Water evaporated in the kettle and the Solar pump ran dry for some time. Maybe for half an hour or more? Not good.

I filled the kettle up, started pumping again and it seemed to work fine. Not sure whether it's now on it's last legs or whether this isn't that big a deal.

if it got really hot that would damage it
heat buildup and the plastics to melt and deform in severe cases

if it's running now in theory you've got away with it i reckon
