Cutting silicon washers out of baking sheet
Cutting silicon washers out of baking sheet
It's easy to cut around the outside edge with a pair of scissors, but making the hole is a different matter. I've done it using a piece of 22mm copper pipe as a hole punch, but after one go the pipe is knackered. Has anyone come up with any good solutions?

sharp scalpel. Start with several cuts across the centre and then work around the edge.

I used the same sharpened copper pipe method for the internal hole. I punch against a scrap piece of wood to stop it losing its edge.Hogarth wrote:It's easy to cut around the outside edge with a pair of scissors, but making the hole is a different matter. Neat, I used to use scissors but the hole was always rough.

I use a big metal washer and a craft knife for a neat job
