Boiler cutout

I have 40l Prodis boiler ,which is very similar to the buffalo, and have had a couple of problems over the past two years with spade terminals on the element overheating and I had to re-crimp the terminals. The most recent failure was overheating of the terminals on the cutout that also cause blackening of the cutout around the terminals. Having seen posts on here about upgrading the the cutout to 130 deg C I ordered some, the 16A version not 10A. When I removed the old cutout I found that it was 160 deg C 10A. I fitted the 130 deg cutout anyway and have done two brews without problem. For anybody thinking of upgrading I recommend going for the higher current rating rather than upping the temp too much. The current rating is probably part of the problem. They are very cheap - 95p+vat from sinolec in UK 2 day delivery.
