Fridge conversion

Post by razzer35 » Wed Feb 11, 2015 12:43 am

I have recently purchased a full length fridge and have a corny keg. I have no lines or connectors nor do I have gas as yet. I want to convert the fridge into a draught beer fridge and was hoping there was a decent and simple "how to" that I could follow. Anything I google comes up kegerator. The simpler the better please. Thanks

Welcome Razzer35. :)

You can use pretty much the same technique as building a brew fridge - you just set the temperature lower for serving. The only extras are getting the gas line in and the beer line out, which is fairly straightforward.

Here's a thread I did when I made my brew fridge - you basically fit a base for the keg to stand on, fit a tubular heater and a suitable temperature controller (e.g. TC10 like I used here) that controls both the fridge and the heater to get you to your desired temperature.
