Temperature probe
Temperature probe
I've just had my pt100 delivered and i'm now wondering if it's best placed in a t pipe by the ballcock or towards the end of the hosing (for when i recirculate). The first is Blichmann style and the latter i've seen recently on some other systems

Re: Temperature probe
i would fit where easiest, then during operation after its had a good run in to warm everything up measure the exit temperature back to the mash and if a significant drop in temperature has ocoured bump up the controller target temp by the amount needed to compensate.
you may want to consider how to prewarm the plumbing before recirculation starts or upping the strike temp to account for the loss.
