Rather than kick of a game of spot the difference - anyone know what the 'new model improvements' are?

No idea what's changed, but I won't be ordering one just incase they've either changed enough parts to mean my spares are useless, or even worse, changed it so it no longer "goes up to 11" - there was never really any reason for it to maintain a rolling boil like it does for the purpose they sell it for afterall.

Reading the blurb on their site, it appears there is a user-resettable cut out, but other than that - pass.

Mine has a reset button on the bottom.. Useless place to put it but its there

Given you haven't been able to buy spare elements for a while I assume that has changed at least.

Mine had a reset switch on the bottom, however, when I swapped out the thermal cutout, I realised the reset didn't do anything! Its a spring loaded rod, that when pressed, didn't press anything / make contact with anything on the inside.

Laughed at the time - no way of reaching it when full, and, was just for show...

I'll have to have another look but I don't recall seeing one, there again I've never had to call on one. As you say, stupid place to put it.

Ha.. i have a 30l pot with a cut out reset button on the bottom. a really useful feature when full of 20kg+ of hot liquid.
