Busted thermometer comark dt400?

Post by beerlover1983 » Fri May 15, 2015 8:52 pm

Right i have a comark dt400 which has served me really well and i think i know the answer but does the below pic mean its broken.
I dropped it into the boil and whilst it does float and is dishwasher safe i feel this may have killed it,

Ive googled and looked on the site for what appears to be a error code but no joy

Which brings me to what do i buy next thats isnt silly money but maybe more robust and acurate?

Lob as in throw away, could try taking the battery out and putting it in a bag of uncooked rice

Lob = Low Battery ? Coincidence has the battery failed in the heat of the moment ?

I'd definitely replace the battery before chucking it! I've been really pleased with my DT400 and it's proved very accurate when tested at freezing and boiling points.

Done a quick Google on this and it does appear that the display refers to a low battery.
