You will be looking at approx 20% of the cost of the item AND the postage. There is also a £6 or so Royal Mail delivery charge.

Hey guys, I was sent one of their hydra wort chillers - it looks awesome! I am going to be doing a review of it on my blog soon so keep an eye out. The VAT does get you. It is calculated on the price of the product PLUS shipping costs. The shipping is about 70 dollars American. It ended up costing me about £35 for the fees associated with getting it across the border. Image

Yea I asked um for a quote on shipping off the wasp or chinchilla and they never got back to me. If your ever considering selling that chiller I'd be very interested

It's three separate coils all attached at the top with a manifold. I'm doing a review ASAP but I need to get a smaller kettle. I can only do 5 gallon batches, and when brewing with my 70l boiler a five gallon batch isn't deep enough to submerse this baby (or any immersion chiller really). I want to make sure that the review considers using the chiller when fully submersed (obviously!).

I have 25 metres of 10mm copper tube and fancy making on of these beasts but does anyone know where you can get the copper manifold that splits the tube into three?
The only ones that I have seen are JG speedfit and 15 -22 mm not suitable for 10mm tube.

Its hard to tell from the drawing on the BES site but it might be worth a look as they are not expensive

I built a counterflow and it was surprisingly easy. Piece of piss actually! No solder method. Picked all the bits up from B and Q apart from the outer hosing which got on Ebay. Couldn't do without it these days!

Hi floydmeddler,

I am just in the process of getting my bits together for making my first counterflow chiller. What size hose outer hose did you use in the end? and where did you get it from? I'm going to be using 10mm copper pipe.

For anyone after 10mm copper the cheapest I found was Wickes at 10MM X 10M @ £20.99

Hey Beer me,

I used this 16mm stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151388956984? ... EBIDX%3AIT

Also used 10mm copper. I went oversize on the outer hose because I 100% wanted it to slide through with zero probs. It did. It was through in no time. Used lots of fairy liquid of course...
