Mashtun builder recommendations

Post by Secla » Wed Jul 08, 2015 10:52 pm

Anyone have any recommendations for someone who build insulated mashtuns

I'm fine drilling for boilers etc but would rather leave the tun to someone else

MrLard (Homebrew builder) is the man, theres a few others but I've not used them and Mark has always seen me right and the customer service is spot on.

Contact him and he'll give you a price. Mash tuns come with bottom drains and three piece taps. My 35 litre one was £170. The individual parts can be bought from brewbuilder for £125, if you're happy butchering the pot yourself (I wasn't!).
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.
