Battery pack. iPhones are not so good at handling trickle power. Androids can take the output, but iPhones no.

Re: Battery pack VS Solar panel
I have a Kinps 4800mAh battery pack case for my iPhone 5S. It can about treble the battery life of the phone for not a lot of money, although I suspect that after a few months of daily use the battery won't hold a full charge by a long shot - it's way too cheap for that. So I keep it fully charged and only use it when I have a long day out.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

Picked a lumsing battery pack up a few months ago. Really impressed with it. Charged a tablet and two phones with it and only got down to ~50%. Think 2 people could do a weekend off it and it isn't particularly big, maybe slightly bigger than a smart phone (but several times the width obv)

Re: Battery pack VS Solar panel
i think it depends a lot on your situation, eg are you carrying it, or are you on a vehicle etc.
i personally would start by getting rid of the iphone and replacing it with an android phone, to charge it i would plug the charger into a wall socket and plug the charger into the phone.
btw, was this a spam post? seems a bit random
Edit: so if you search for the user name, ther are multiple occurrences of a new member to a forum asking for info about solar vs charger, then they wait for replies, then they post a link to a product from renesolar
sorry if i am being over suspicious.

Re: Battery pack VS Solar panel
I switched to gas for charging my iPhone and I've never looked back.

No, I don't think you are being over-suspicious at all. As a first post to a forum on a completely unrelated topic I think it's without doubt completely bogus.irv wrote:Edit: so if you search for the user name, ther are multiple occurrences of a new member to a forum asking for info about solar vs charger, then they wait for replies, then they post a link to a product from renesolar

Stop being suspicious. I'm sure Weijing3333 (not to be confused with Weijing3332) is a serious all grain brewer.
Personally I use Android. Just stop sending me MMS messages okay.
Bit of a hint to anyone on 'droid. Switch off auto-download MMS in messages. Stagefright will surely be cracked by the hackers in about a minute!!!!
