S30 Valve Spares

Post by Andy_C » Thu Aug 27, 2015 12:01 pm

Hi

I need to get hold of some replacement S30 Inlet & Outlet Rubbers for my King Kegs.

Does anyone know the spec's so I can order directly from a Seal specialist ?

Has got to work out cheaper than £2 a set.

Thanks

Andy

Don't know where you've been getting them but last time I bought some from my local HBS, I got about 6 of each. Can't remember how much they cost but it was nowhere near £2 a set (2). As for spec, don't know, other than blow off needs to occur at approx 10psi.

EDIT: Brew UK has them for £1.20 a set http://www.brewuk.co.uk/containers/barr ... pares.html
Best wishes

Hi Dave

I've got 10 of these barrels and am finding that by the time I come to use them again I have problems.

Just though it would be useful & cost effective if I could buy a couple of lengths of tube and just cut to size as and when I need.

The pack's I was buying included the sealing washer (Another 79p at Brew Uk prices giving a grand total of £1.99).

Thanks for you input.

Cheers

Andy

I had a gas inlet valve rubber go one Saturday night.
The black, inside one, below the cap.
The only spare that I didn't have in my collection was the one I needed..
After load of worrying about a barrel of possibly flat ale I came up with a temporary answer.
Amongst my old coarse fishing tackle was a spare set of silicon tube, elastics for my bait catapult.
I cut off half an inch and gave it a go. My temporary fix has worked fine for about the last eighteen months or so.
I wouldn't try any fix like this for the safety pressure valve for obvious reasons.
Worth bearing in mind for when the shops are shut and disaster strikes.
Cheers.
