Brewferm tt capper caps spin?!

Post by ben9393 » Fri Oct 23, 2015 3:43 pm

I tested this out today as im bottling tomorrow and I got this aa its a bench capper. It has a 26mm head and i used it on a beer bottle. It looked sealed decently as i pushed down hard and it mafe a final sort of movement and wouldnt go anymore. But if i really try hard i can spin it. Not easily but it can be done. Will this be a problem?

They look sealed but bottle opener makes them come off easy. Water dont come out when i tested it and shaked it hard.

As long as they don't leak they may be sealed but when pressurised they might then leak.
I have the same/similar model and one or two bottles have done the same for me but I found that adjusting the height gives a better seal. Try moving the arm to next setting (up or down) and try again.

It seems prettt sealed it only gets looser when you spin ot too much. I did adjust it ita about the same. When i used to make ciders a yeae or so ago i had a wing capper and i think some of them were like it and some were eaay to get off but were always carbed. Ill just cap them and see how they turn out.
