Thinking i need to strip and clean my 3 piece ball valves. Just wondering if anyone has done this and replafed the seals? If so where did you get new ones?
Cheers

What kind of seal is it? If it's an orange silicone o-ring you can strip, clean and refit. No need to replace unless it's damaged.

afaik the ptfe seat for the ball valve is expected to last the lifetime of the valve..

far east ebay suppliers may have them??

tho my quick ebay search revealed only one manufacturer specific solution
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-DIXON-BV- ... SwEK9UELX3

Which indicates that it could be a cost prohibitive option if available?
ist update for months n months..

I stuck mine in the oven after our had done some 220 business. 30 minutes? Suspect that'd do the trick ;)

I have, on numerous occasions dismantled them and soaked in hot PBW then put them back together fine. The seals do not need replacing. It is worth doing as they do get a bit gunky.

Definitely need to replace at least one set of seals (broken/warped out of shape). Really cant find anywhere that sells 'em though!

Not sure! Only thing i can think is maybe the pot was slightly back on the gas burner and it was getting some serious heat.
