Stainless pots

Post by Rogermort » Tue May 31, 2016 10:57 am

I use 3kw elements from Mr Lard and I'm looking to increase the size of my HLT and boiler with new stainless pots. As I'm not using an induction plate, is there any advantage in paying more for a 'high end' pot or should I just find the cheapest pots I can? I'm thinking 70L or 100L.

The basic pots are what i use and got a good price direct from the german ebay.fr seller <abwicklung@bergland24.de>

I wont deny there are some better looking pots with sculpted shapes, and multi layered bases
but for sitting on a worktop ontop of perhaps some insulation the basic pots work well for me.

dont try lifting full pots by the handles tho.. the are not designed for lifting full, only for handling when empty..
ist update for months n months..

I have 4 of these bought from the above seller, they are amazing value , fantastic quality.

70l Hot liqour tank - I dont lift, just fill up.
100l Boiler - Definately dont lift!
2 x 50l Fermentation vessels - These are easily moved with two people into my ferm fridge. The handles are definitely strong enough. If pushed I can just lift one up onto a shelf on my own, but definately best avoided.

In short go for it! Some of the best money i've ever spent buying these.
