Angel Homebrew and Homebrewbuilder have just confirmed hat all their kettle elements are nickel plated on the boss and come from Peco. I've read really mixed reviews about the Santon elements from brilliant to failing after 2 brews.

I guess its the 2.4kw SS immersion units from brewbuilder then!
Thanks for all the comments and input gents - happy brewing!

Re: Elements for 50l kettle - before I buy!
Been using 2 x Peco elements in my 50 ltr pot and very happy with them.
Have read the negative posts and did get concerned after ordering some. When they arrived some small flux residue was visible but rubbed off with a damp cloth.
Not had any rust problems at all and don’t envisage any.
Recommend 2 elements for a 50 ltr pot, only 1 would massively drag out a brew day.
