S30 CO2 refill service

Post by guypettigrew » Fri Feb 12, 2021 9:35 am

It's getting harder and harder to find anywhere which offers an exchange service for empty S30 cylinders.

When there was the first panic a while ago, when Hambleton Bard stopped offering refills, I bought four new cylinders to go with the two I already had. A couple of weeks ago I started the last cylinder, which meant there were five empty cylinders to get refilled.

After some hunting around I came across Grabner Refills in Abergavenny. Superb service. Hermes accepted the empty cylinders, charging me just over £6 to ship all five of them. The cost of refilling the cylinders included return shipping, and the cylinders were back with me in a few days. All of them had at least 240g of CO2 in.

Excellent service and one I'll certainly be using again.

Guy

Mod. Edit: have edited the title to reflect it being about S30 refills, to make it easier for others to find later.

You can also try my LHBS Hamstead Home Brew Centre who took over supply from Hambleton Bard and please call Chris on 0121 358 6800 with any questions regarding shipping.

I use Steve Grabner all the time. He returns very quickly and discounts for multiple bottles.
Highly recommended.
