I'm just starting to pull together a BrewPi Remix build with the help of the BrewPi Remix Hardware page - https://www.brewpiremix.com/brewpi-hardware/
I'm currently struggling with the DS18B20 probes.
The official website says "Make sure they are directly powered and not parasitic". Does anyone have a source for these? I'm fairly technically able and broadly understand what that means, but no websites seem to list how their probes are powered. Should they, or is the way they're powered determined by the wiring and not the probe itself?
I.e. would these work?

Re: BrewPi Probe Source
As far as I understand they're just two different modes of powering the same chip
https://learn.openenergymonitor.org/ele ... re-sensing lists 2 schematics, powering in either normal mode or parasite mode
I've only ever used normal mode
Edit: I just found there is a version that can only do parasite mode - https://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/ ... 20-PAR.pdf

Thanks Chris - I'm guessing the -PAR suffix indicates it's parasite only so hopefully a normal DS18B20 will do the job.
