Very nice. How is the shelf with the water heater on it supported ?
It is semi-floating - in the corner and supported along the two edges that meet the walls. I had planned its position in advance and put 2x4s behind the plasterboard so that it could be securely fixed. The shelf itself is made from an offcut from the worktop and it is thick and sturdy. It could probably hold 2-3 times the weight of the HLT.

Do you use the chiller with this set up.

Yes, I use a counter-flow chiller. It is the black piece of kit on the worktop in the picture of the brew stand. The blue hose is connected to the tap as the cold water inlet. The red hose is the hot water outlet and is used to fill up a bucket and reused as cleaning water. The two silicone hoses are the wort inlet and outlet

I meant that it show you pushing the hot wort in at the bottom instead of at the top. If it is turned upside then when you are finished pumping you can drain down the wort.

Aaahh, I see. Yes, I just have it that way around because it is an easier reach from the short hose to the pump upstand. I flip it over to drain it at the end.

Hey Spook, that is one gorgeous set up! Beautifully planned and wonderfully executed. Very neat, very efficient looking.

Enjoy brewing in your new brewery.

One query, if I may. Is the extractor you've fitted powerful enough to remove all the steam?

Thanks Guy!

These are cheap 150mm bathroon extractors - about £20 each. I initially installed just the one, just below ceiling height, and did a test boil - it remove the majority of the steam but not all. I then installed another one just above the height of the kettle rim and that soted it out. The lower fan is hidden behind the grain basket in these pitures but there is a one showing both fans a bit further up the page.

Yup I use inline bathroom extraction on my boiloverless lid. Cheap as chips. Brilliant.

I have been remiss and should have added the final updates to this build ages ago....

This is the pub with the bar counter in place. The frame is made from an old agricultural water tank and top from scaffold boards

This is back in the brewery. The fridge on the right is the fermentaion chamber and the keezer is on the left. The stainless bit on the keezer is a collar that I added to accomodate the height of the kegs

This is a close-up of the keezer. The kegs with the black tops are standard 19 litre cornies. The silver tops are 12 litre cornies and I can stack two of them on top of each other. So, I can get 2x19l and 4x12l kegs in there. The beer lines pass through the wall to the right of the keezer...
