Hi all!
It’s been a long time since I posted, getting back into brewing and finishing my equipment build.
I have a big issue at the moment, as I am almost there with my MT Coolbox conversion, I just need to make a SS braid manifold and I am there.
The problem is, I have tried various braided hoses and I can’t get the braid off the inner tube. Does anyone know where you can just get tfe over braiding? Years ago, there was an eBay link for a seller who was dealing with this, but I can’t find anything at the moment, nor by just googling.
Any pointers towards suppliers would be VERY gratefully received!

Stainless Steel Braid
Re: Stainless Steel Braid
Hacksaw to start and then sidecutters did it for me.

Hi!
Thanks for your reply. How exactly did you do it with the hacksaw and side cutters - can you talk me through it? Sorry if I’m being dim with this!

Re: Stainless Steel Braid
Junior hacksaw, good blade, cut around the braid near the fitting. Use the sets cutters to tidy up.
An angle grinder with a thin cutting disc is also very good if you have.

Ah! I see what you mean! Getting the fittings off is okay, I have got that far, but I can’t then remove the inner tube running through the steel braiding.
I have seen videos where people push it down gradually, but it just won’t budge on mine.

Re: Stainless Steel Braid
Push the braid together and it gets fatter. Then pull the inner part out.
You need 3 hands really, but long nose pliers help.
