How long can steriliser be left in contact?

As above ^^

I have place just about the last of my steriliser (Ritchies) into my keg ready to take my IPA, but having just rechecked the gravity, it has dropped again.

Ideally I would like to wait and recheck the gravity but having used my steriliser, how long can this remain in the keg without causing damage?

Thanks
Scotty

You are unlikely to cause damage to a plastic keg by leaving steriliser in it for the last few days of the brews fermentation. Steriliser's effectiveness reduces over time so I would however sterilise the keg again, some would argue that it would not be necessary, however I wouldn't want to take the chance of infecting my brew.
