Hi all.
Got a problem with a Youngs/Wilkinsons budget barrel. I've just stripped it for cleaning but there's some beer/water residue inside the body of the tap. It's between the main body of the tap and the part that you can rotate. If anyone has any ideas how to clean this out properly I'd be most greatfull as I've got another brew to go in it and don't want to risk losing it to contamination.
Cheers Tom

These should all come apart - the bit you turn round just pulls out.

Have you had one apart yourself? It seems really tight. Is there a particular knack to stripping it?

I've got the same barrel, they are really tight, but it will pop out eventually. I find splashing some boiling water over it helps.

I mailed youngs about it and they've promised to send me a new tap
I hope it comes before my colne valley is ready to barrel, 8 days on and down to 1.014 and ( slowly ) falling.
