Videne - lloyds chemist

Post by Jack Hackett » Mon Mar 07, 2011 3:16 am

Hi folks,

On Saturday I popped into my local Lloyds chemist and enquired about Videne, I spoke to the Pharmacist (Not the usual one that is there) about it and why I wanted it, even showed him a picture of a bottle, he hadnt got a bleedin clue "Never heard of it" he said., so I asked if he could order it in for me, "No, we dont supply Iodine based products" was his reply. His attitude was rather surly if Im honest.
He suggested I use Dettol or TCP!!!
Here's to Lloyds Chemist, Farraday Avenue, Quinton, Birmingham. B32 for being so useful and helpful (NOT)

If there is anyone local to me that knows of a chemist that can supply it, do please let me know.

Regards
Jack

Got mine from Tescos pharmacy for about 5 quid and Asda also get it for you at about the same price, hoe this helps.

Superdrug ordered it in for me. Boots also would but it was very expensive from them.

You should support your independent pharmacies. :D

Today my local independent pharmacy wanted £6.98 for Videne.
And because the assistant was careless I know that their mark-up is over 100%. Couldn't quite catch the last digit on her calculator finger but she got the trade price on the phone and the multiplied it by two point summat to get to £6.98. They can keep it at that price.

I got mine from a Lloyds no problem. The last purchase was cheaper than the first, £3.80.
