How long does steralisation last?

Hi I have had several successful brews from kits doing an 'all in one' in the King Keg but I have just bought my first bucket to brew a Muntons Gold IPA kit.
When I steralise the bucket, can I Steralise the King Keg as well and leave it until the brewing is finished or do I need to re-steralise when I am ready to transfer the brew to the King Keg?
I was just wondering about pouring away the first steralising solution and having to make up another batch for the Keg.

Thanks for the information.
I think I'll sanitise both at the same time, keep the keg sealed and then make up a small amount of sanitiser to refresh the sanitisation of the Keg before transfer.
