How long can I leave my barrel with VWP in it ?
Is it OK for 24 hours or should I get it rinced sharpish ?

Recommendation is to rinse it . . . I have left Chlorine based sanitisers in plastic (And Stainless) vessels for extended periods of time . . . but it ois a habit I'm trying to get out off.

About the only time I've had a problem was leaving some metabisulphite solution in a rotokeg to keep it sweet . .. as it evaporated it got very strong and ate into the plastic . . surface is now too rough to be confidant it is sanitised so I can't use it.

Plastics are OK with chlorine as long as you like so long as you rinse very well.

Stainless will pit and eventually pinhole with anything chlorinated in it.
Including brine!

Not a worry I left the keg for two hours and have now rinced it out 4 times, It is not going to be used for a few weeks so when im ready I shall fill with water and bung 10 crushed campden tabs in it to get the smell out and finish the clean.

Getting some starsan now as well so that should sort this wee conundrum out.
