Line cleaning

Post by fatnurse » Fri May 06, 2011 10:36 am

Hey all

I'm currently cleaning my cornies and tap lines with my regular sanitizer (I'm using a Youngs one at the mo), just wondering if this is ok (seems to be fair for the last 4 months or so) or do I really need the purple stuff?

cheers

Matt

You will be amazed at how much extra crud the alkaline cleaner will get out of your lines.

I use VWP, more or less the same as line cleaner, don't know what this youngs stuff is, or purple stuff!

I've been cleaning beer lines in pubs and restaurants for years. 'Pipeline' is by far the best.
I've seen it go on ebay for £18.
Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, this is the purple stuff.

I've been a cellar man as well for a while. It will be fine as long as you do it correctly. Once a week. If you leave live ale yeast will start to grow in your lines.
