What temp can you heat 70-TW to? To clean my HE I was planning to pump hot forward and reverse. Is this a decent plan? Thanks

It's used for 'boil out' cleaning.....so, boiling point is okay I guess.
Do you really need something that aggressive?? I wouldn't fancy boiling caustic flying around.
I use Antiformin to clean my HE, works very well with a hot water recirculation....and I don't think it's nearly as aggressive as the caustic.
A lot of people rave about PBW, which is also worth considering. I've got some of this one the way as we speak......supposed to be very good at lower temperatures and won't peel the skin off everything :D

I'm looking for one product to clean the mash tun, boiler, HE. Contact materials are stainless, copper, hdpe and PVC. I like things to be squeaky clean every time. Any suggestions?

I'd go with the Antiformin or PBW.
The antiformin is great at removing organic deposits....only a 1-2% solution needed.
I will let you know what the PBW is like after brewday this weekend.

The thought of hot caustic frightens me tbh.

Hi Mr Dripping. Can I ask why you're trialling PBW if antiformin does the job? Is there some characteristic you're looking for in particular?

I got involved in a group buy that made the price of pbw a lot more attractive. It gets rave reviews, and isn't caustic....so I thought I'd give it a try.
I've no issue with Antiformin, it's very good but does need a thorough rinse.

I don't suppose this is a current group buy?

Thanks Mr Dripping. I like the sound of PBW, tech sheet below.
