The Malt Millers non rinse Sani

Post by Manngold » Wed Sep 17, 2014 6:45 pm

Hi all,

I have some of the malt millers non rinse sanitize. I was wondering if it was ok to sue it in the following way. I purchased a 5L bottle of still water from Sainsburys and added the required amount to the water in the bottle. I have left it sealed for 2 weeks after I used it to help sanitize and keg. Should I still be able to use it ok,or is it worth re sanitizing and starting again.

Thanks for any help.

John

If it's not to cloudy use it.

Ah ok, it is fairly cloudy. Almost white like. I will knock a new batch together.

Thanks Dennis.

Check it's pH, if it's anything like starsan, then cloudiness is not an issue as long as the solution remains acidic. I think it wants to be below 3.

I use the malt miller stuff (tbh it's probably repackaged starsan) and it remains at about PH2.5 for AGES in fact I've given up checking really. I just change it when I get bits of crap floating in it lol
Cheers and gone,

Thanks guys. As I had no ph paper, my complusiveness got the better of me. I knocked up a new 5l batch. To be honest, it has lasted me along time this stuff, so not to worried!
