I'm just about getting my head around buying one of these but wondered if you can clean your fermenting bins with these as well? It seems to suggest you can but I'm concerned about spillage as the base doesn't look that large?

Any comments gratefully received hopefully from owners and converts or someone who can persuade me to build a washer myself!

These are designed to wash not to clean. The best way to clean is with a sponge and elbow grease

I made one with a bucket, pond pump and a fixed CIP ball.

If definitely cleans as it has a mechanical action. It also has the benefit of cleaning the dip and gas tubes.

What size pump did you use and what spray ball valve? I’m tempted to make my own also.

Cannot remember the pump size, I’ll take some pics when I’m in the garage next.
