Cellar
Re: Cellar
Not bad for serving a lot of beers too.

Re: Cellar
Oh for a proper Cellar, around here it would be an indoor pool

Re: Cellar
My grandparents had a cellar when I was a child. I loved going down there, even though it had a dreadful smell of damp. That smell is so evocative of my grandparents house from 40+ years ago.
I have a hankering for a house with a cellar, but not likely to get one anytime soon.
Agree with the above comments: great for both lager fermentation’s and storing/serving beer.
Enjoy!

Re: Cellar
I have a tin one. Brilliant for all sorts.
Re: Cellar
I had a full cellar when I used to live in Yorkshire but unfortunately wasn't brewing back then. It would have been so easy to run a line from a cask in the cellar to a handpump in the kitchen, lovely bitter served at the correct temperture without any fuss

Re: Cellar
Yes very useful. Mine was used for coal and still has a black floor, it’s also around 12C ambient at this time of year and I get a couple of degrees cooler in the fv with it being on the floor. I store most of my gear and beer here including my fermenting fridge. As you say useful for lagers and if your stairs are like mine, there is a temperature gradient increase up the steps that you can use to your advantage by moving the fv up the stairs. Summer ambient gets up to around 18C

Re: Cellar
We've been having below average temperatures here lately and the cellar has stabilized at 48f (9C).

Re: Cellar
I moved it upstairs, where we keep it at 60f (15.5C), after ten days to make sure it finishes.
