3 vessel brewing kit wanted

All grain brewing set-up wanted. Either gas or electric. Preferably stainless, but not too fussy :)

Just a thought, but for what you might pay, there are some all in one units available now, which can make brewday much less of a chore. Depending on what type of beer you make?

Yes, I know of them, it's just this is a present for my son as he's taken an interest in brewing and I wanted him to do it 'properly' :)

Oooo... . Or will the palaver of a 3v put him off forever?

I did one, maybe two brews and thought "feck this, there has to be an easier way"... 3v just didn't fit into a working live.

I've done over a hundred brews on my Braumister 20 (pun intended), it was a retirement present to myself, after a decade or more of building a never ending updated 3v system. From plastic to all stainless. The BM is a glorious easy peasy wort making machine. But, if a planned downsizing house move leave a bit of cash later this year I'm getting a 3v stainless brew kit. Proper brewing. To me it's not just the beer at the end, it's the journey to make the beer. Like the dinners I cook every day, it's not just what ends up on the plate, it's what goes into it.

Hope that makes sense, I have been imbibing...

Perfect sense.

Why would I want to 'cook' a Waitrose ready meal and miss out on the fun of chopping onions, adding herbs, deciding when things need more/less heat etc etc.

If I don't fancy cooking I get a takeaway or go out.

Making beer is a journey. It takes 7-8 hours and I love every minute of it. Checking pH and temperatures. Pumping stuff from one vessel to another. Controlling the sparge to about 1/2 litre a minute and all the other bits and bobs which need doing.

But we're all different. The attraction of a 1 vessel system is understandable, but not for me!
