(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

I have a well without tap of any sort in the garden, it used to be used to supply water to the local pub for brewing many decades ago, should I try and use this well water for my brewing needs, or is it more trouble than it's worth?

I think I'd get the water tested and then decide.

I'd pump lots out over a a few days, so as to make sure it's fresh before I did anything else.

Maybe take some out on two different occasions and get it tested,

There again you could just do a small brew... just to test the water, so to speak :lol: =D>
