The site went down again today. Snowed by stupid hackers, probably.
It meant Graham's water treatment calculator wasn't available for my brew. This has happened before.
Is there any way of grabbing the calculator and keeping it on my PC, please?
Thanks.
Guy

I use printouts and keep them in a folder. Easier to work from them.

Me too. I have plastified all of them and keep them in a folder. However my water profile does not change.
It would be nice to download it though.

My water profile changes a bit, depending on how much rain there's been!
Plus, I like the ability to set the calculator to 'Automatic' for the target liquor and then choose whatever sulphate:chloride ratio I want for the beer I'm brewing.
While on the topic of downloads, it would also be good to be able to grab 'Andy's strike temperature calculator'. It works perfectly for me, predicting the mash temperature to within +/- about 0.5°C.

It's not straightforward unfortunately. Both calculators are html pages, but they both call various javascript files that exist somewhere on the server, so without those it won't work. I'm also not sure how you would go about making it work on a PC unless you set up your own html server and put all the files on there (though you'd have to make sure all the directories were arranged properly and maybe modify the address of the calls on the html page).
If I have time one day I might sort out copies of all the linked files & html source and bung them in a downloadable form for anyone who wants to faff on, but it isn't quick because I'd have to go through all the code to find the procedure calls first.

I had a feeling it might be running like that.

Like you say, not a easy lift, or an easy shift.

Thanks Jim
I won't pretend to understand your post, but I do get the general point about downloading the calculators being hugely problematic.
The real answer, I suppose, is to stop the site going down every now and then. Easier said than done, no doubt!
