I've done nearly the same brew - just that i bunged in 90g at 15 minutes and none for 0 mins.

you'll like that! :D

are you going to use aux finings?

Wasn't planning to Gurgeh. 10 days in primary then force keg in corni maturing for 4 weeks. It'll hopefully clear at some point. Why do you ask?

I've not considered using finings seriously. I'll go read about it now and will try them on this brew. As you say any haze would be obvious.

S-04 plus 4 weeks secondary/corni should be good to clear, providing your run-off into the FV doesn't have too much trub in it. The golden ale I made over Christmas was bright after a week in a corni :D 8)
I have to say, Simon, man, you are on F-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-R-E right now. A most impressive effort =D>

drinking: ~ | conditioning: ~ | primary: ~ | Looks like I need to get brewing then...

OK £1.75 seems reasonable  , aux finings will be added to this brew after 7 days assuming final gravity reached, then wait 2 more days and corni it for force carb. I'm using S04 which I drops out pretty quick, would you bother with IG or gelatine if wanting the brew clear after 4 weeks maturation?

Cheers SW,

Keeps me out of trouble. Am building a stock pile at the mo, next will be a go of Phil's Hefe#2. Claims are it's ready after 1-2 weeks! Drinking Weizenstephen and Korenwolf put me in the mood the other night, and am now gonna take the plunge with a corni full of yummy cloudy wheat beer. Don't think I'll regret it.

Also all this flailing around the kitchen is an attempt to present something decent at Derby in April. I've got clearance for 2 NIGHTS away so am gonna immerse meself in the crusty ale worship!

It's my 1st time I think RTD. Used Styrians in my first try of a light style like this but not Cascade.

I don't think you'll be disappointed, I recently did Marc's Townes IPA recipe, an all cascade brew, and it's lovely

Stopped at 1.014 a couple of days ago, roused and now down to 1.012 and still fizzy in the sample jar. It can have 'til Friday, then it's Aux finings for 48hrs and keg Sun PM.

Just kegged this tonight at 1.011. It's had Aux finings 2 days ago and almost clear as a bell! :D There is a spectre of haze there, but that's gonna be enough yeast to carb the bottles I made up in addition. With S-04 I don't see any need for me to use IG. (Daab  )

I am very happy with my beer now. Yeehah!!!!!!!! Sorry if that sounds like big-headedness, it's not. It's an expression of satisfaction I've gained on this journey to decent beer that you guys have allowed me to take. Cheers all.

Just tasted one of the bottles of this next to the keg. They're different in that the keg seems hoppier. Both really nice though.
