Turbo Cider success

Hi all!

Haven't been on here for ages, but thought i'd post to say that using all of the tips on here i've just produced my best TC yet.

5 litres of apple juice
1 tsp bread yeast
1 tsp yeast vit
2 tbs golden syrup

Fermented over a week, until it stopped bubbling.

Then transfered it to another DJ to get rid of the sediment at the bottom. Added 1 cup of very strong black tea and 1 more litre of apple juice.

Left for a few more days and bottled.

Bloody amazing!!

I have made TC before using just apple juice and yeast / wait a week / drink....and it was always a bit unpleasant to taste although for a quick hit it was better than nothing!!

But following advice posted on here regarding adding more apple juice after fermetation is complete / plus the cup of strong black tea has fully sorted it out! I'm amazed at how drinkable this is now....well happy!
Probably going to go for 20l next time.

Thanks to all on here for sharing your tips :)

Excellent stuff.

What is the tea for though?

Tea is for tannin - my home made scrumpy lacks it because I have only eating and cooking apples and no crab or cider apples.

Bottled off Nicearse last night - apple juice, sugar, and two tins of peaches in syrup - its like a scrumpy version of bacardi breezer! :D

I may be wrong but I reckon it might be "apple juice, sugar, and two tins of peaches in syrup" and may end up "like a scrumpy version of bacardi breezer".

I'm guessing it's called nicearse because of the peaches?
