Wheeler's new BYOBRAAH edition

Post by Benjy Edwards » Tue Jan 13, 2009 11:10 pm

I did a search on this in the forum but did not find the answer: does anyone know if the new edition of Wheeler's Brew Your Own British Real Ale has any new recipes from the previous edition? Perhaps the fine author himself wouldn't mind responding?

49 recipes have been swapped out for different ones. I posted a complete list on here a short while back in response to a similar question, but I can't find it now.

It is probably not different enough to warrant buying the 3rd ed. if you already have a 2nd ed.

Yes, I remember that Graham.

I've got a feeling it was in the big thread which developed in the 'ebay bargains' section, and I suspect it may have been 'pruned' out due to age.

I thought that at first, but it might be that their consignment has not yet been delivered. Knowing CAMRA as I do, that is a more likely explanation. We will soon know, because some people should receive theirs Thursday or Friday if Amazon have actually dispatched any.

Has anyone actually got a copy yet?

I don't think they have... certainly not mine anyway.

As an order is processed, the order status showing on the account changes from Not Yet Dispatched to Dispatching Soon when the goods are being picked. The status then changes to Recently Dispatched when the goods are on the way.

My order is still stuck at NYD, and my dispatch estimate of the 16th, and delivery estimate from the 21st, have gone. :x

...same as everyone else with an Amazon order I guess.

Mines been on order from a similar time with Amazon but I haven't got it yet. Same as the above posts regards delivery dates.

I'm brewing a Durden Park recipe next so I've got time to wait.

I ordered this from amazon but due to an enormous amount of dicking around I cancelled my order. I ordered it again recently (they've actually got stock of it now) and signed up for a trial version of their "Amazon Prime" service which is £50 or so a year for next day delivery on items. Naturally I've received the book now and cancelled the subscription but the trial will run until early next month! The delivery was free too.

NB - Any typo's are probably my own but my fingers were hurting by the end!
Planning - Not for a long while

Fermenting - I'm Done

Bottle Maturing - Hobgoblin, Fullers ESB, American Stout, TOP, Fullers London Porter, Bandini Black IPA

Drinking - Still...Whiskey
