Which Coopers kit?

Post by urbantreemonkey » Sun Mar 22, 2009 7:32 pm

I'm buying a starter kit from the brewmart and i have a choice of Bitter, Real ale or Draught bitter and i'm not to sure what one to go for :?
The beers i like to drink are Tribute, Woodfordes Wherry, Fullers honeydew? Basically not to heavy/ dark.
I'm new to Ale as i was a lager drinker for years but have fallen for the less gassy more flavoursome ale! :)
Any advice would be welcome!
Cheers Shaun

I am drinking a Coopers Bitter at the mo, and it's very nice. Made it with a bag of Munton's enhancer. Was going to do the Stout, and will, but hear that the froth can go mad and overspill the f.v, so I'm going to wait until it's warmer, then I can do it in the garage. Look for my post "Coopers Bitter wasn't infected after all" posted today ,for a picture. I used Beer Brite in the keg too. Last one was a Wherry which was lovely, this Bitter is as good, all about tastebuds really.

just make up to 20 litres and after the initial mad ferment slows down, top up to 23l. :D

Ah good idea ! Do I have to top up slowly?, i.e, try not to aerate the wort at that stage ? Sorry to hijack this post with my own questions !
