hop & grape Hop strainer

can't remember which side up the hop strainer goes in my boiler, i've drilled some holes a few months ago and can't remember holes upwards or downwards?

With holes the orinetation is not so important(check out a hopshop strainer, holes all around it) its important though that the precut slits that come in a H&G strainer are pointing downwards though, so let that be the deciding factor.

My H&G strainer blocked sometimes. I think it was Del who suggested this originally, but I wrap mine in a muslin hop back nowadays and I've never
had a blocked run off since.

Drilling 3mm holes inbetween the slits is another cure to the stuck run-off problems with that strainer. :)
